Meet other researchers from across Scotland and creatively explore opportunities to collaborate. Professionals from Skillfluence will facilitate the networking sessions.
Common ground
It’s well known that a good way to build rapport with others is to find something in common with them. Recent research shows that the more unusual the commonality, the stronger the sense of connection. This exercise is fun, challenging and highly engaging and works well for large groups. It’s designed to break the ice and get groups talking as they search for common ground.
Combinations
This exercise has been developed from the SCAMPER creativity technique. It’s used by researchers, innovators and designers to find ways to bring 2 disparate ideas together to form something new. This technique lends itself to helping researchers from different disciplines spot opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration even when initially there may not appear to be any connections between their work.
